Did you ever watch your older brother or sister board that yellow school bus and wonder if that day would ever come for you?   Do you remember looking at that bright shiny two-wheeler and dream of the day when you would ride without training wheels just like the big kids?

That same dream, the dream of being old enough to do what the big kids do, is the reason for Jr. Kid’s Church.  We want our 5 year olds through Kindergarteners to fully experience Kid’s Church on their level.   By incorporating lots of hands-on learning, prayer, worship, Bible illustrations, and the basic need for fun, we explore who God is and how we can worship Him in everything we do.

Children are encouraged to bring their Bibles to every class!

Family Worship:

Worship is a family event at Grace North. Children of all ages are included and encouraged to participate in our worship service. Children love to sing, dance and pray. Given the opportunity and expectations that they too can worship, children quickly join their parent (s) with the same enthusiasm they see.

Even our little ones are hungry for the presence of the Lord. Through worship we are providing our children an opportunity to experience His holy presence. Although we encourage children to worship with their parents, we understand that this may be a new experience for your family or that their attention span is short. For your assistance our nursery and preschool is open during worship for children 3 months-Kindergarten.

Kids Worship:

Our children in the toddler, preschool, and Jr. Kids classes also have a worship time designed just for them! Through Kid’s Worship our children enter into a focused time of worship, prayer, and hearing from the Lord.

Daily Prayer & Bible Reading:

At Grace North, all ages pray and read their Bibles everyday! As children grow and go deeper in God’s word, we are confident in God’s promise that His word will not return void. (Isaiah 55:11) Parents are encouraged to read with their child daily from a child friendly version of the Bible, and to model prayer by praying out loud with their child. Age appropriate reading plans are available at Jr. Kids.

Journaling:

In Jr. Kids, we introduce children to the concept of journaling about their daily time of prayer and Bible reading. Through the “Come, Hear, Do” method, children learn to “Come” to God’s word, “Hear” what He’s speaking to them, and “Do” as He says. The specially designed, age appropriate journal pages are available to your child at no cost. Just ask the Jr. Kids church staff!
