Your child will experience the following age appropriate activities in the classroom to enhance the teaching they receive from the Bible. These activities may or may not be used each week depending on each lesson plan:
Bible Lesson: Various forms of storytelling used to bring the Scriptures to life.
Coloring and Activity Page: activities highlighting the weekly lesson
Snack Time: Yummy boosts to the weekly theme.
Structured Play: Hands-on learning centers that reinforce the lesson through play.
Craft Time: Creative fun using all the senses.
Puppet and Drama: Designed to capture attention and help the children remember the lesson.
Ministry Time: An opportunity for the children to pray for each other as well as receive prayer for their needs (family, friends, fears, boo-boos, etc.)
Children are encouraged to bring their Bibles to every class!
Family Worship:
Worship is a family event at Grace North. Children of all ages are included and encouraged to participate in our worship service. Children love to sing, dance and pray. Given the opportunity and expectations that they too can worship, children quickly join their parent (s) with the same enthusiasm they see.
Even our little ones are hungry for the presence of the Lord. Through worship we are providing our children an opportunity to experience His holy presence. Although we encourage children to worship with their parents, we understand that this may be a new experience for your family or that their attention span is short. For your assistance our nursery and preschool is open during worship for children 3 months-Kindergarten.
Kids Worship:
Our children in the toddler, preschool, and Jr. Kids classes also have a worship time designed just for them! Through Kid’s Worship our children enter into a focused time of worship, prayer, and hearing from the Lord.
Daily Prayer & Bible Reading:
At Grace North, all ages pray and read their Bibles everyday! It is our belief that even the very young will benefit greatly from this life changing commitment. Parents are encouraged to read to their child daily from a child friendly version of the Bible, and to model prayer by praying out loud with their baby or toddler.

Journaling:
In Preschool, we introduce children to the concept of journaling about their daily time of prayer and Bible reading. Through the “Come, Hear, Do” method, children learn to “Come” to God’s word, “Hear” what He’s speaking to them, and “Do” as He says. The specially designed, age appropriate journal pages are available to your child at no cost. Just ask the Preschool staff!
